"My mom got a kick out of your car.  We had a 68 model year when I was a kid.  I learned to drive in it."

The Latest Headline(r)

Me and Scotty took a cruise last week, stopped by Harold's Upholstery in Billings, I wanted to check and see if they needed the windows pulled to put in a new headliner, Darrin said he could do the job without having to pull the windows, that was good news. You could tell these guys are real pros. I'll be having a new headliner soon...

1967

1967 was a good year...

Thumbs Up...

One day I was cruising West on I-90 near Billings, had the Coronet wrapped up to ~75/80mph, I look in my rearview and see a biker with ape hangers coming up in the passing lane, this dude is wearing colors and so I don’t really want to look over and make eye contact LOL…

When he gets right up next to me he reaches under his right arm with his left hand and gives me a BIG thumbs up, then he blasts the throttle and took off  ~90mph.

Does it get any better than that?

License Plate

A coworker Mike from Houston was eating lunch with us several weeks ago, I was telling him about the Coronet and how cool it was, he said he would like to see the car, we went out to take a look. When he saw the car he got this huge smile on his face and asked if he could take a picture of the car, I said no problem, take all the pictures you want.

I saw him in a meeting a couple of hours later, he said he had sent one of the pictures to his mom, turns out she had a 67 Coronet years ago, SHE STILL REMEMBERED THE LICENSE PLATE NUMBER of her car, she was 80 years old!

That was one of the neatest comments I have had about the Coronet.

4th of July

We were cruising Billings on the evening of the 4th of July, we came rolling up on to a stop light, on the right side there was a biker dude sitting waiting for the light, when we came to a stop he looked over and said "Now that's some badass shit!"

Coronet Blog Diary

Friday the 26th I got off work and went to Wilson Dunham's gas station for a fill of 91 octane,my gas gauge only goes to 1/2 when full so when it shows empty Its time to pay attention to how far I have driven. A couple of guys came out and started looking at the Coronet, they both worked at the station (one of the last FULL serve) stations on the planet I believe.

The guys started talking about how they liked old cars and one of the guys had a 69 Dodge Challenger, I said I never really realized how many people would give me a thumbs up or start up a conversation about the car or someone who knew someone that had a car like this one, etc, etc... The guy also said he had a Ford Model A or maybe a Model T, I can't remember, anyway he said so many people had comments on his car that he kept a diary book in the car and would jot down all his interesting meetings and experiences when he drove the car.

That got me to thinking I should start a diary for the Coronet, the wife gave me a log book I put in the car but I also thought it would be cool to put together a 67 Coronet Blog, so here we are...
